Easter Favorites

Confession time: I grew up with no frills, earthy hippie parents, which is partially what drew me towards Montessori learning and Waldorf toys in the first place. I like to joke that my parents were the original hipsters- lots of plaid, clean eating, free range parenting, etc. So part of their no frills parenting was not really doing a lot for holidays- my Easter basket (if I got one) usually consisted of jelly beans, some of those delicious home made chocolate covered Easter eggs (YUM), and maybe one of those little fake chicks that peeped when you held them in your hand. We don't really do a lot either, usually no toys, but maybe a religious Easter book to enjoy together, since that is something that we value in our family. I know that isn't the case for everyone, though, and that is 100% good with me! Since I am seeing a lot of requests for Montessori or Waldorf aligned gift ideas, I thought I would compile a list to share. Rosa La Belle  One of our new ad partners in our Facebook group, I am loving their beautifully hand curated items! Their educational nature items are especially my favorite. Pictured is a set that they gifted to us to try- the Eco Cutters are non toxic, bio degradable, AND food safe! HERE is a referral link for $5 off of $20 (I will get a $5 credit too)

Little Happy Ogles Another one of our ad partners. They have some really affordable options available, and they are super cute. This weather set is my favorite, but they are planning an Easter bundle as well! Use code MEMBER10 for an exclusive group discount! (affiliate code)

 AMAZON RECOMMENDATIONS

Natasha Durley is becoming one of my favorite illustrators! She illustrated this whole line of season themed books that I am loving!

More bunny themed, less Easter Themed, but my daughter has loved these books since she was 6 or 7 months old. I wish they made a more sturdy set, but they are still very well loved.

A Big, Beautiful flower book!

This series is out of print, but has excellent realistic and beautiful illustrations with very informative text- I can usually find them used for $4- $8 on Amazon or Ebay.

I don't think this covers Easter specifically, but a good cultural exploration for those wishing to add a culture study unit.

A religious option for those who are into it. Beautifully written and illustrated, our copy is very well loved and enjoyed by everyone in the family (adults included).

Such a great set- we have several friends with it, and Iris always gravitates towards it!

This set doesn't look like much, but that fence gets used for everything, and the tiny Guinea Pigs and Rabbits are well loved. Just do yourself a favor and DON'T STEP ON THEM!

Made in Germany- I love that this is just a nice simple bubble set without having to be over the top!

 SumBlox

These are on sale at the time of listing, check prices with SUMblox.com

We love our Tender Leaf Toys! These sets are super affordable and the ones we have a great quality!

Go to Montessori Services for some great quality gardening tools for spring gardening, or support your local gardening center-they usually have a small section of children's gardening supplies at this time of year.

So I have been waiting since the summer to for these to come back! That is when someone posted that these fit the Grapat Eggs perfectly!

For egg fillers think stickers, Grapat Pieces, small animal figures/toob animals, baking soda eggs (DIY) for experimenting, kid safe bath bombs, and maybe some candy 😃

A special thanks to NermieCat/Nermal/NermieKitten for being cute while I put the finishing touches on this post.
